Happy Bradburn Day!

Today is a fantastic day.  Do you know why today is a fantastic day?  It is the birthday of the one, the only, MR. RYAN BRADBURN!  Now, I’m not sure we can explain to you how amazing Mr. Bradburn truly is… but maybe these will help:

Trust us, people, this is only scraping the surface!  So Happy Birthday Mr. Bradburn!  Jen’s coming to town this weekend, so you know there will be spankings in your future!  (She’s inappropriate like that.)

Let’s hear it from the Globe and Globesters… THREE CHEERS FOR MR. B!!!!  SOO glad you were born!

PLUS… it is very worth noting that another birthday today belongs to Mr. David Sims of UpstateOnstage (among many other things).  So spread the love!

Theatre Thursday

You know, there is a fantastic little diner on North Main in Greenville, affectionately named by the Globe’s Jayce Tromsness as "prop heaven."  The Northgate Soda Shop is covered on every inch of wall, shelf and ceiling space with crazy memoribilia.  Old Greenville photos?  Check.  Vintage beverage bottles?  Check.  Parachuting opossum?  Check!  And - though I’m a vegetarian - I’m told that the pimento cheeseburger is a crazy delicious entree.  It was even included in a book about the best hamburgers in the country.  Now, I don’t know their specific hours, but what I do know is that, every Thursday, they keep their kitchen open late to feed the hungry masses of Greenville theatre!  Most places close down their kitchens by the time we’re all out of rehearsal, so this is a great opportunity for us to eat actual food and have some serious theatre community bonding!  It gets loud, it gets bizarre… but it is never dull!  Tonight is one such night.  So… whether you’re active in the theatre, or just love theatre, come on by this evening to say howdy to the lovely Catherine - the owner of the Northgate Soda Shop.  And if you can’t make it tonight, come any other time.  Your arteries may never be the same again!

And… truth be told… I just looked at the countdown on the blog and saw that it’s still more than a month until our next improv show… and it just makes me sad!  We miss you, all you faithful Globesters!  So I hope we’ll see you around soon!
