Okay, so it’s no Christmas or Halloween or Arbor Day, but at the very least, we do have the day off, right?  Hooray for Labor Day! Or rather Hooray for that day off that comes just a little too soon after school starts, but is welcome anyway!

At any rate, moving on from there, there are a few fun things for you to waste your time on today.

First - make sure to jaunt over to The Revenant Culture podcast where you can hear our own Anne Kelly Tromsness chatting up the Silver Chair guys.  She starts around the 3:20 mark in the interview.  So you can skip ahead, or listen to the whole podcast, which has some other fun stuff.  Do what you can to give some love to the folks at The Silver Chair.  They’re doing good work!

Second - I jotted down just a couple of great zingers from this weekend’s improv.  There were all kinds of odd situations, from murder most foul to water balloon condoms to smurf chalk art to oblique references to nihilism and Anita Diamant… it was one heck of a weekend:

• "It gets all messy and you’ve got fish floating in your toilet."
• "Well, I don’t think Woody Allen cooks pizza."
• "It smells like lentils and sesame oil… are you a liberal?"
• "Your regurgitation of CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC is strangely attractive."
• "In this light, you look kinda like John Wayne."
• "I took a women’s studies class one time for a short while when I thought it was going to be home ec."
