Rehearsal Live Blog
Are you familiar with the concept of a live blog? From what I understand, it’s basically using the same blog post to chronicle something as it’s happening. I think it works better with REALLY popular blogs that people are checking all the time… so they get up to the minute updates. And I’m pretty sure that doesn’t happen on this blog. But I just happen to be at a rehearsal where I’m not on for a while… so I’ll go ahead and live blog it.
8:57pm - Jason, Jen and Peter all smell bad.
8:29pm - Break time. Everyone goes out to smoke, leaving the few of us who don’t smoke sitting quietly to ponder our viceless existence.
8:22pm - Rhyd just likes to punch people.
8:15pm - Paisley to stuff a rabbit.
8:13pm - Backward rolls and weird fake whispers… oh… and here’s one of those "in case you guys weren’t paying attention, we’re going to rehash everything that just happened" scenes.
8:02pm - "Pete and Repeat were sitting on a bridge. Pete fell off. Who was left?" "Who?" "Word games are no fun with you."
7:54pm - "I never printed out the rest of the script."
7:52pm - putting Jared on a swing is both terrifying and genius!
7:47pm - How many actors does it take to turn over a bicylce?
7:46pm - Why turn and stare at me when you talk about "the taming school," eh Rhydwyn?
7:44pm - Roman handshakes make me giggle.
7:42pm - Ducking behind bushes that don’t actually hide you… always funny.
7:40pm - Distracted Globe guest artist transportation. "I tell you what, you ride a bicycle on stage and people go ‘oooh! Look at that!’"
7:37pm - Rhydwyn punched Jared in the face.
7:35pm - the bike is upside down!
7:20pm - Lauren and Justin are making all kinds of bizarre noises offstage. Does it matter if "yeehah" is period?
7:10pm - started rehearsal
7:07pm - Jayce arrives with an awesome old bike.
6:45pm - Arrived at the theatre, Moe’s in hand. Shared drunk journeyman stories. Good times.
