Nostalgia on a Sunday
Well, this weekend was our final weekend of the Warehouse 07-08 season, which makes me feel all reflective-like. It’s been a crazy busy year. Since the season began, we have performed 26 improv shows. In fact, last night was our 87th improv performance since our humble beginnings in July 2004. Can you believe it? This year we held our second set of improv workshops, we welcomed 9 new performers on the improv stage with us, we premiered a new script, by the lovely and talented Jayce Tromsness, we created more buttons that we know what to do with, we launched the Brock for Mayor campaign, we populated the crap out of our blog and YouTube channel (though I accidentally didn’t start the camera during last night’s show… GRRRR). Busy, busy, busy.
Last night we bid a fond farewell to our second departing Journeyman, Jenn. She boogie-woogied, she skillfully guessed that she was returning a breast pump, she explored chicken factories and accountants and forks. It was a big evening, and we will miss her muchly!
Of course, this weekend was also a debut of our friend Simon, who played with us for the first time - puffer fish, fiddler crabs, big gulps and a bris. A wild and wooly weekend for Mr. Crowe.
And now, we’re off on rehearsals for Taming of the Shrew in our Battle of the Sexes summer. Between all the rehearsal madness and the stupid election promising not to get any less stupid any time soon, we’re sure to have plenty to talk about here. So thanks for all your support this year… and keep up with us! We do love you all!
