Distracted Survey

Hello to the faithful dozen of you who read this blog.  Please leave us comments.  And please send this blog to your friends!

Sorry… I did a little pleading there.  It was unattractive.

Anyway, my main point here… audience survey.  We have decided we needed to ask you - our audience - some questions so that we can keep growing and keeping giving you guys more of what you want.  So, if you’ll take 5-8 1/2 minutes to fill out this survey, we’ll enter you in a drawing to win a prize!  "What’s that prize?" you might ask.  Well, we haven’t decided on the prize yet.  But we have decided that it will be awesome.  So, at least you’ve got that going for you.  Anyway… take a few minutes, weigh in, maybe win a prize.  We would greatly appreciate it!

A Tip for Hillary’s Campaign

Everyone keeps talking about how Hillary is in the shadow of her husband’s legacy - positive and negative.  And with one of her superdelegates all tied up in a sex scandal (I’d say "no pun intended," but you’d know I was lying), a lot of people are hearkening back to the days of Slick Willy’s cigars and blue dresses and impeachments, oh my!  But you know… I think she can use today to her favor.

Today, in 1868, began the impeachment hearings for president Andrew Johnson.  This is chock full of opportunity for spin.  She could throw light on the scandal that truly rocked the White House (were they actually in the White House back then?), a way bigger deal than Bill’s impeachment!  She could prove that historically, impeachment ain’t that bad.  She could posit that if impeachment is good enough for Lincoln’s Vice President, it’s good enough for Bill.  Should could connect the two impeachments as an effort to garner some sort of sideways favorite son privileges with the North Carolina primaries coming May 6th.  And I’m sure that somehow, she could insinuate that Barack Obama’s not being alive in 1868, and his resultant failure to prevent or further or support or denounce said historical impeachment is somehow proof that he lacks experience… and possibly that he might be Muslim, but you didn’t hear that from her (wink, wink, nudge nudge).

The possibilities are endless.  So, Hillary, on this day, congratulations!  She must be so excited that black history month is over so that she can make this anniversary all about her and the wrongs done to her people.

Sorry… this post was incredibly catty on my part.  I think I’ve hit election overload.
