You know, sometimes I think I should just come up with something completely random that needs a good study.  I think you can get grant money for anything as long as it says "study" at the end.  Then maybe I’ll come out with a conclusion as awesome as "swearing at work is nutritious!"  Or something like that.  I’m no scientist.  But seriously folks, according to this article, some study done by some smart people from some big university says that allowing me to swear at work will make me a better worker.  Rock on!  I guess that throws a kink in that list of 55 words you can’t say on television!  And, I’ve actually been reading this very interesting history of swearing online.  I’ll put that in here too… on the off chance that any of you out there is as big a language geek as I am.

Oh… and I should let you know… today officially begins a new initiative for me here at The Distracted Blog.  We will not let a day go by without mentioning South Carolina’s favorite son, Stephen Colbert.  Partly because we love that he’s running for president here in South Kakalaki.  Partly because we just want him to notice us.  The Globe salutes you!
